Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at the Colchester Royal Grammar School playing fields, Athelstan Road, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for the installation of an electronic scoreboard. Despite being located in an area of high archaeological potential there were no archaeological remains.
